In decades past, The Black Viper was a notorious burglar, pickpocket, mugger, and assassin who died a century ago, after a long and nefarious career.
Recently, a copycat, or perhaps the first and original, has become active again in Waterdeep. Known to wear a dark purple cloak, this Black Viper has breathed new life into the legend, and now both nobles and commoners alike are on the lookout, lest they become the next victim.
Curiously, this copycat has not spilled a single drop of blood while committing their crimes, and more often than not, their signature move is stealing things from noble houses and affluent guild headquarters, leaving behind only a pair of dice with the single pip face up in place of her newly acquired item.
Recently, two of the Trollslayers got to meet the Black Viper in person. While working jointly on a heist, the two of them got to see how the Black Viper operates in person. They successfully recovered a stolen religious icon from the mansion of a wealthy noble before going their separate ways.
