An accomplished wizard and owner of Ambrosia, a high-end magic shop in Kesgrave. Studied at the Glass Library in Remthyr before meeting his husband Lucius; then worked for a time as House Wildemere's resident mage. Encourages his daughter Lucretia to pursue all avenues of study-- even those that might involve breaking the rules.
During their first year of school, the party began to learn that Alistair is a practitioner of dark magics-- a detail first revealed when his name appeared in Emeline Snowstride's journal, and later was all by confirmed by Lucretia (and by Alistair's ties to the Requisition crime syndicate). Later while staying at the Ambrose home for the summer, it was revealed that Alistair is actually a lich, which he takes great care to keep hidden using magic. According to his story, his curiosity regarding necromancy led him to become aware of the ritual required to become a lich, but it was his love of his husband (an elven vampire who would long outlive him) that drove him down this path of ghastly immortality.
Alistair is also an active member of the Darktongue Cabal, and seems to be one of its more powerful members. He has a back room and hidden study within Ambrosia, where is sells illicit spell components and magic items to those who choose to practice darker magics.
