Session 4 Downtime

In the quiet days after the near-disastrous trip into the mines and through the shadow realms, Yakub continues to keep mostly to himself, spending sometimes days away from the castle without announcing his comings or goings. This is not to say that he disregards his responsibilities to the coterie when he is present, but his more specialized skills are often unnecessary in dealings with run of the mill mortal business-folk. Even if a problematic someone needed to perhaps...disappear, it hardly requires any uncommon vampire to accomplish that end. He does provide advice and guidance with regard to the structural defenses and internal reconstruction of the castle itself, with special attention to the keep's receiving hall and access to the coterie's.....private floors. He also begins efforts to assemble a modest network of informants in the town and in surrounding villages. Dark of skin in these northern lands, he finds little warmth from the townsfolk, but being utterly unseen and unheard makes it remarkably simple to find out who knows things and who tends to meet with whom, given enough patience. Any people or tidbits of interest can be leveraged at a later time by Cynric or another member of the coterie with a more welcome visage.
