B-Gene Activation (A Memory)

*A Woman's voice* "Again!".
Electricity was sent flying wildly around the room burning every point it contacted, every bolt originating from a harness worn by the youngest of the Vance family.
*She spoke again but with more intensity in her tone*
"Increase voltage, and...do it...again."

(To weak to say a word, he thought) --Mother...is that you...why...--

The lighting crackled loudly in the small room leaping from this young boys body
*Her intense tone echoed from the opposing room safe behind the glass*
"Increase power to max. I am tired! Tired of wasting my time with his trials. He either joins the family, or he dies."

--Mother...please...no more...please mother...--

Light filled the room as power flowed through this young son. White hot lighting exploded outward searing everything. The room was now charred black. The chains that had held him now burned away. Even the contraption that had been placed upon him was now obliterated. Yet, the boy lay on the floor. His life-ending wounds healing as he lay face down on the floor breathing slowly. Immeasurable pain fading slowly as his wounds were healing.
*Heels clicking as she opened the door and walked into the room*
"Oh my sweet sweet boy. We did it. Your powers have arrived and mommy is so proud of you. We are going to do so, so much for the family with this...incredible power that we have finally unlocked. Oh my baby boy, you have earned a name, My little 27"

*The tapping sound of heels fills the room. The image of mother walking away from him starts to blur in his tear filled eyes, and slowly fades to complete darkness as they shut.*
