Snakes, Bats and Gnolls, Oh My

Who knew that snakes could be made out of iron? Like, really, no bard or any one of the adventurers I've met could once have to me to watch out for snakes made from blasted iron?! Almost killed me. I was literally "bleeding out and full of venom, my life blood soaking the dungeon floor" dying. Then, later, when I'M NOT TOUCHING another stupid statue, a bat erupts out of the statue's shield and attacks us. Of course, Dear Brother jumps to the wrong conclusion and assumes that I'm the one that set it loose. Damn that fool. Too bad he's blood, otherwise I would have shoved a knife in his throat long before this. Then if demonic statues and my insane boss taking a bath in filthy water wasn't enough, the Big Guy's human daughter goes and opens a door to a gnoll party that wanted to eat us real bad. I thought we were dead.. Damn, I would have bet gold on us losing the game in that fight. Somehow, after nearly dying (AGAIN) I manage to single-handedly take out the remaining gnolls and save the entire party. And what do I get for this rarely seen heroic act?
