Yulhar's Abode

by Juvar Nylgaris

Arriving at Yulhar's Abode, we have shared in a delectable bounty with Sir Cromwell, Loremaster Gudea, Ella Ashgalde, and a new Raheema Al-Fayad. She informs us that her sister Safiya is in dire danger of regicide. She lives in Hallenfell and is the wife of the current Governor of Hallenfell after the previous one died. I suspect there may be some ill play afoot and we should be wary to become puppets of a sinister goal. We are now greeted by a new figure, addressing himself as General Ahmed which belays the decorum of his uniform. He has now also introduced us to a figure named Ayesha, she looks worn and weary, her township has been overcome with bandit activity. Her homestead, the Oasis of Al-Jadis, we know that it is fortified with wooden walls and battlements, this is the only stop across the vast desert so it is an indispensable cultural corner stone. Unfortunately Ayesha lost her brother during the escape. Hopefully we can end this operation before any more lives are lost.

We have also been introduced to another figure, a Kanzuri no less, such a rare opportunity for one to meet more than one in a single lifetime. Though, who is to say I have lived only one?

He wishes to aid us on our mission to liberate the encampment, we are most fortunate and blessed to be in the presence of a new ally.

This valiant vagabond has introduced himself as Sorinda Gawinir, despite knowing him for but seconds I already feel a great and powerful presence beneath the scales of wood and bark. In his company I feel a strong reassurance, his confidence is a river that I am comfortable to drift within, but which inspires me to swim with it. His stature resembling the broad mountains of the Kuzkatharian Empire, with both their power and majesty he commands the room. Strangely even Xin seems fond of this gentleman already which only affirms that my impressions are well founded.

As we arrived at the Oasis of Al-Jadis, things seemed suspiciously normal. Kiva and our new ally attended the duties of advanced scouting, whilst Xin and I stayed back. I am not worried as Xin is as sharp as a Norgebian Blade, and as dependable as one too, there is no need for me to worry with her by me. As we arrived inside we were asked to wait for a conference with "the boss" I shall await cautiously, I worry there is something dark looming overhead.

So. Things went south fast, I believe they were attempting to capture us but we managed to repel their attacks, and avoid enslavement. One landed a powerful blow upon me, and had sealed my fate, but as reliably as the sun rises each morning Xin arrived by my side to bathe me in the light of her patron. She brought me back from the dream, she is a remarkable woman and I am blessed to have her as an ally and unworthy to be her friend. Perhaps some day I can repay the debt I owe her. Though she likes to put up a pragmatic front, I do believe she is too humble to admit that she works miracles on a daily basis, with and without her magic.

Though we were tasked with only apprehending these brigands, some strange force overcame our ally Kiva. She mercilessly slaughtered our adversaries even after they had surrendered. I can only pray to Yulhar that this was the doing of another being, perhaps similar to the one inhabiting Xin's beloved brother Chang. Because I am terrified to consider the alternatives.

Luckily as we freed many of the captives, after I mentioned that Ayesha had made it to safety her family seemed elated and relieved, I am glad that the burden they must have carried from the doubt has been lightened somewhat by our actions.

Did we perform more good or bad today? How does one know when there is too much salt in the water to drink?

As we return to the city the former captives we have liberated say that the bandits often spoke of a location called "Serpent's cove". Perhaps this is where our old adversary Jalfaar operates from.

As I ascend I am greeted by Mei, the monastic spirit that I had stolen most of my moves form, she appears to wear western clothing from far beyond this continent . She tells me that I have a grander purpose than I realize. My spirit is carried from my body by a powerful omnispirit, it seems to be part Pheonix, Dragon, Sea- Serpent. Mei calls this spirit Tai Xi Jin.

Now that we have arrived on Xin's island. we have headed quickly to the library attempting to find information on exorcism, though I was looking for any information on Tai Xi Jin, so I looked into the ancient Aruxni lore, though I could not find any mention of this Tai Xi Jin, I did find mention of K'vae, a wise and spiritual dragon mentioned. Perhaps this great dragon may have some insight into how I connect myself with the spirits that hope to coexist.

I have now found a book on the three deities, there are three gods, Nuryama, Tasin, Sezen. They had a close relationship with K'vea. Nuramya is the mother of the earth, bringer of peace, Tasin is the god of the sky and bringer of war, Sezen is the god of the harvest and sea. K'vea is soften seen as a fourth member of this pantheon, it is also theorized that K'vea went by a different name in this Panetheon. I have also found a tome detailing the betrayal of K'vea. After the war of the isles of Azrar, the other God Kings, especially Abraxa god king of lightning.
