Choices

by The Green Baron Mason Farson

After leaving Scree, Mason heads to the caravan going to Isondale, setting aside 200 GP for the trip or any provisions he might need. Along the way he decides to go ahead and buys 4 days of rations and 3 water skins just to be on the safe side.
Reading the letter from Amelia over and over again, Mason contemplates the decision that led to here.
He hated the way he just left with only talking to Scree and leaving it to her to explain to the others but he had already wasted a week of time he could have fixed things with his wife.
Noticing how she said worded the letter worries him some about what someone may be saying about him in his absence. It doesn’t help that her family in Frandlyn didn’t even acknowledge him and treated as dirt.
As he travels he thinks about what he will say and possible things she might say or who he might encounter. Saying a prayer to Tymora throughout the trip begging her to aid in him making the right decision of whether to stay in Isondale or continue adventuring. He doesn't really care about adventuring but it's the helping others that he loves doing. At one point in the trip he has a wondering idea and a image in his mind of Amelia and himself traveling together becoming one of the heroic married duos told in bards tale and legend that he couldn't help smiling about and fantasizing about to help pass the time.
During breaks between daydreaming and trying not to worry, Mason creates his homunculus servant that looks like a mechanical koala and names her Mimi. After he works on plans for diagrams for a device he's calling a "Umbrella". Using weather treated material supported by small metal rods and one long metal rod with a handle to block the rain off of themselves. A simple item for everyone and a alternative to cloaks on rainy days.
