Origin

by The Green Baron Mason Farson

Mason "Tips" Farson is an Astral Drifter that has recently arrived in Isondale. Mason has designs all over his body but does not know their origin as he was born with them. He married Amelia Tyne, whom he saved from being assualted by Spelljammer pirates while he was on a journey through the Astral Sea. Mason's father was a tiefling and mother was a aasimar, thus he has a rather unusual heritage as a rare hybrid. He took up the study of magic and how it connects to creating special devices at an early age and has since become an artificer.

Mason was "rescued and raised by a dwarven city guard" Rockerd Farson at the young age of 5 during a battle which took place at his village of Riverhaven. Both of his parents, as far as he knows are assumed dead. The battle was fought between the armies of Mordredia and Isondale. Mason took Rockerd's last name since he was the only father he could remember.

After being ridiculed for most of his youth due to his unique heritage. At 12 years old Rockerd arranged for Mason to be a cabin boy for Captain Lizabeth Martok of the Bastion Queen, a Hammerhead Spelljammer Ship. 2 years after he joined them they were attack by a band of Space Clowns. Not wanting to end up as a slave or worst dinner, Mason jumped over the edge and just drifted into the Astral Sea.

Eventually rescued by a passing transport unsure of how long he was out there, he was sure of 1 thing, he was watched over by a beautiful goddess who just said "I am by your side, my lucky one!".

After asking a few questions of his rescuers he found that he had met Tymora- Lady Luck.

Eventually signing on with another spelljammer ship he spent several decades visiting other realms besides his own of Aragoth. On one of his trips to the city of Onyxmourne, he was stunned at the way they used magic and machine together. With his captains permission he stayed for a year to learn what he could of the art of Artificing.

While in in transit to rejoin his crew, Mason heard a commotion down down in the galley and saw a incredible elven woman being assaulted by a pair of drunken crew members. While fighting the pair the fight moved up on the top deck. Other crew joined in to restrain one of the attacking drunkards but the other was unfortunatly knocked overboard.

Without thinking Mason threw himself overboard after him and for the first time in years, he unforled his hidden wings and saved the man from drifting into the Astral Sea. Bringing him back on the ship Mason quickly furled his wings back into their pockets just so the staring would stop.

Mason fell instantly in love. After escorting her home, Amelia told her father Arlo what he did for her. Mason surprised to learn they were one of the noble houses. Arlo offered anything to repay him for what he did and all Mason asked for was Amelia's hand in marriage.

Arlo was hesitant at first but seeing the way the two looked at each other Arlo knew this would be a better match then the man, Reginald Theros 6th, trying to buy her hand and was only interested in his company.

After Mason and Amelia were wed, Mason took to doing escort run for Arlo's company when he wanted an extra eye kept on something with one of his shipments.

Even though Mason was a follower of Tymora, he was still looked upon as a abomination by some of the religious organizations. Doesn't help that Reginald constantly talks down about Mason to the other houses.
