I have now been in Sigil for a week with no leads and less patience. That, however, I believe has changed today. I was finally able to find the warforged Weyer told me to find, an entity named Søren. He described Weyer as being similar to a sister, which I thought was quite sweet. Tangentially, I also met some other interesting characters: a Verdan goblin named Tinwë, and a centaur named Abodochus Timoos, although he prefers “Doc,” who both work for the Happy Tongue. There is also an aasimar, Caelen Strato, who was directed to find me by his fiendish patron. Quite unnerving on many fronts. Regardless, the five of us seemed to form a party of sorts.
Tinwë and Doc are intent on joining one of the many factions of Sigil in an attempt to leave the city and find Doc’s wife, who seems to be lost. We met with Montgomery, a firbolg and representative of the Society of Sensation, one of the factions here. He claims that the Society is the most powerful of the factions, but I have heard that the Fated can go pound for pound with them, as can the Transcendent Order. Our task is to plant a purple rose in “the most void-touched cave” in the Caverns of Thought, and numerous factions have expressed an interest in what grows there. Also, Imel would like us to bring back Torelian Death Cheese, if we happen across any. The Fated seem to be generally not the most liked of the factions here, so I believe I will keep my debts to myself. It is curious to me that this task was set as our proving quest, and yet there are so many factions that know not what this purple rose will grow and still have ample membership. Makes me think we may be being set up.
