Yesterday was one hell of a fun time. Together we had been told that a shady group had been doing shady stuff from a shady location. We decided to go check it out. I was supposed to go in and ask some questions as a distraction. Perhaps even as bait. I fulfilled this role perfectly and even managed to purchase a dwarven tankard as I asked the clerk about her family as instructed. I did have to promise never to come back in order to get the best deal possible, which wasn't an issue since I had no need to buy another tankard. Jeyquallin had used my distraction to sneak inside all shady-like and get some of their shady papers from a shady cellar.
With this, we could give Hassimir what he wanted. I still can't believe that we chose that man instead of a dwarf as our representative. We could, however, not do this until the next day when he would return to the Builder's Arms. In the meantime, we decided to relax for a bit, and I tried to gather some drinking friends for the night. This proved harder than I had anticipated. But in the end, I found two men who agreed to share company for the night. Sadly I don't remember their names. My tolerance is good but not perfect sadly. And these men had a hefty headstart, which I barely managed to catch up to. When we finally reached an equal level, most people started to leave.
We were not done however, the night was young and we had just managed to level the playing field for some strip-dice. The bartender offered us free beer to move the party along, so we did. Outside the bar, we played until we reached the impasse that we had run out of clothes. That's when one of the men wanted to get something else to drink, and I suggested the marvelous hanging gardens. They agreed so we began to move along. That's when some mean old guards stopped us and wanted to bring us to jail. The poor men seemed bored and frustrated so I decided to lighten the mood with some fun. Some chasing never hurt anyone so I ran for it. The streets were kind of dirty though so I ran up a wall to the roof.
I ran for a bit to let the guards get a bit of a workout in. But then I heard some other guards yell at me, but they could join the fun just as well so I ran on. That's when I felt something try and hold me like an invisible giant was trying to grab me. It was a weak force though so I ignored it. But then suddenly a crossbow bolt shot by, and then another that was about to hit me. I snatched it and stopped. I walked over towards the guards to lecture them on the overuse of deadly violence, when Delgado came, disguised as a guard. The guards agreed to let him escort me, for some reason. I thought I was going to jail, but apparently, they realized they had taken things too far and let me go. Instead, I got to sleep in Delgado's room.
This morning the cat was real grumpy, but no matter. We got to meet Hassimir again and he told us that he worked for some kind of order that really liked the law. Nothing wrong with that, but some friends of his took away Imaros for questioning. But he promised us that as long as he hadn't lied, he'd be right back. And from what I can tell Imaros is somewhat loyal to the path. He's a good lad. Hope he'll be back soon.
