The Journal Entry’s title

by Vorach "Constantine" Briar

As Zeal sends off his messenger to chase down the person who was stalking him, he shifts into a large puma and begins deftly climbing up the sides of the alleyway's walls, but the rooftops provided no sign of his quarry and left him to chase the remaining trail of his animal messenger over rooftops and alleys, but he lost the trail as he approached an enormous plaza where members of the church are already beginning to set up for the day's festivities. As he slowly makes his way down to the ground before changing back into his normal shape and approaching the nearest people with a mask (there were too many masks in the city to detect one he didn't have any luck). Though he asked after someone wearing a mask with a wave, they could only tell him that they'd heard tell of someone who might be from the far east wearing some sort of mask that looked like the wave - though, that's strange because masks are supposed to be connected to the aspect of Air. They also told him that he should know it's taboo to discuss the path of the last journey in public. They're bad luck!

Disgruntled, Zeal attempts to connect with his familiar only to find his link to it tethered - apparently it had been destroyed. Somewhat perturbed by this, Zeal mutters to himself and hurriedly makes his way towards Camellia's, where (after a lovely fade transition) we see Camellia giving a lecture on what can(not) be done during the festival. These include such gems as "don't complain about the baghorns" and "don't litter", alongside more gentle, respectful notices of what *to* do. Connie slings a new bag, full of supplies for an outing with her, and she brandishes her cane and fur coat before we begin to slowly make a procession down the road. Connie has flowers to offer that he pressed from places they travelled through.
