I expected this day to be a normal "just watch over this pompous politician while he talks to her ladyship"-day. Instead, said politician brings a bunch of ragged looking musicians whose instruments turned into murderous machine bugs, and manage to kill the whole party plus Bohb before we put a stop to them. Well, not the whole party, a slave girl survived and told us Armand had picked up the musicians at an inn, and that he had been acting weirdly and had a conversation locked in his room, but she had seen none come or go. Anhara asked us (me, Cyahli, Selvyn and someone named Kahila) to investigate it, carefully so attention will not be drawn to her.
We soon decided to go to the inn, The Alterious Roadhouse, and of course Kreppik gave me the nastiest camel in the whole stable. Just because I told his son I would sooner go on a date with a dried out cactus than him. It's true! And I would have a much nicer time too, the guy is so boring he makes shoe polishing seem a truly exciting adventure.
Selvyn tried to teach Cyahli some manners. I guess I shouldn't mind, she really needs it (and needs to learn she can have her own opinions too), but it made me feel like I was doing a bad job of looking after her. And I can't say I truly trust him. I know Anhara does, and so I should too, but he's such a smooth-talker and I have the feeling he could talk anyone into anything. He took the slave girl with him too. I think she took a shine to him. I guess it's natural, he looked after her and he _is_ a very pretty boy...
