A Tiring Run in the Catacombs With Killing (Day Two)

Continuing where I left off a man died, but I don't think he was a real person but no one seemed to point out how he was just a pile of rose flavored ash. Inside a chest was a bunch of rotten body parts. Also, on the table was a well worn blank book, Bran took it.
We went down a secret passage and started opening doors, I got distract by a spiraling stair case down into the depths of the catacombs, there was about 92 floors, found a engraved tablet on the wall with arrows pointing up and down, but it was impossible to go further down because there were no stairs. I respectfully took some cloth from a body and to a good quality rubbing with dirt and the cloth. After that I ran up to the 20th floor and then walked the rest of the way.
When I re-united with the others some of them seemed less than pleased that I went off on my own. I gave the rubbing to Bran and he translated "safe" and "dark", I assume it is with the direction of the arrows. Then I sat on the ground for a bit to catch my breath, then looked in the 3 cell like looking rooms which yielded nothing.
Then everyone was trying to open a door which seemed weird, Jan (to tired to care if spelled right) eventually opened it with a mushroom as a key, weird. After the door opened we got in a fight, my first arrow missed (I was tired) then I re-positioned behind Jan because it seemed safer than the door way and from there got a flawless head shot. After the fight we met a mushroom person and went to another room to take a nap.
