In which we acquire a castle and pirate ship

It would appear we are now owners of a stronghold and pirate ship. What a day . . . this is not what I was expecting when I left the forests of my home, but hey I wanted adventure!
 
It all started when Muhnus and myself managed to gain entrance to a pirate fortress through subterfuge, and our party proceeded to take control. A messy business involving a large dog and water elementals, but we succeeded. I dislike water elementals now.
 
In the end, the remaining pirates surrendering and Kyan convinced them to join our cause. We finally found the book we had been searching for, but it seems our adventure has only just begun because we now have a small castle and a ship to deal with. The others want to sail it back to the Archmage. I'm not sure I quite trust her, but I guess its not a terrible plan. If all else fails, I can probably get off a cannonball at the library before we die, right?
