002 The Library

by Lady Medea Delphi

-on the way to the library in the center of town, we found the scholars(Bran) goblin and adopted him into our gang. Setting him on top of the Tortle (Janott) to ride on her shell.
-When we got to the Library it was closed, due to the fact that that it was the middle of the night. We woke up one of the scholars and he allowed us to enter the library.
-The Tiefling (Wrath) asked to borrow the ring from Janott. When she took off the ring she lost her sight for a period of time.
-I attempted to guide Janott into the library. when I grabbed her arm my vision began to dim as well.
-The Wrath who was wearing the ring had found a book that seemed to be bound in flesh.
- the Wrath opened the book while wearing the ring and began to talk to himself. (revealing after that he was talking to a corpse that only he could see)
- When Wrath was finished the book was no longer bound in flesh and the writing inside was gone.
-Bran went to find the magistrate and inquire about how this book was not under lock and key at the main campus.
-Wrath, Janott, and I went looking for more information on the graves and windigo. Which was in the forbidden section that you needed a key to get into. I pulled out my brass key and tried it in the door and it opened to everyone's amazement except mine.
-We went in and looked around finding nothing. I looked through the index cards and found a half ripped piece of paper and handed it to Wrath. He went off heading in the direction of the location of the book. I kept looking for books on Curses and how to break them finding that all the books cards had been crossed through. Bran came up looking for something on the sanguine rose and I slinked away and went to the other side of the library to look for Yuan-Ti books to see if there was any info on transformations or mutations... NO LUCK.
-I went back to the group to find them all looking at a set of wooden books on the self. I looked at the shelf and noticed that the book they were looking at had been nailed to the shelf.
-Janott took a crowbar from Wrath and pried the book from the shelf breaking it in half to reveal a scroll on the founding of this town and the creation of the windigo.
-With this new information, we decided that the next place we needed to go was the graveyard.
-I did a quick Tarot card reading that showed that we all really needed to rest and resupply before moving forward. So we headed to an inn on the nicer side of town and rested up for the night. (Janott against the door, Wrath pointed towards the window, Bran on the floor, and me sleeping in the bed.
-In the morning (Noon) we ate downstairs
- Bran started striking up a conversation with me, I tried very hard to not look in his direction for too long. He was very uncomfortably close to me staring intently. Then his eyes widened ... He had figured out what I was. He began to pry for information, I was afraid that this would happen, him being a scholar and all. He pushed I said I didn't wish to talk about it, Wrath backed me up telling him to stop prying for secrets.
- Wrath suspects what I am and knows what class I come from.
- Janott's pet raven flew through the window and landed on her shell,
- the Goblin sat on the table eating a muffin, Bran asked him questions in Goblin that seemed to scare him. I felt sorry for the poor creature and the misfortunes he had been through in his life.
- I made sure to pocket three loaves of bread from the buffet for later
-Then we headed out for the graveyard
