Four of Swords

Card general meeting:
The Four of Swords is a powerful card in the Tarot deck that reminds us of the importance of rest, reflection, and self-care.
 
Entry:
My first case is officially solved. For a recap, I received a phone call on Evelyn's old phone and I responded by agreeing to meet up with a man, whose name is Geoff. We gathered info from the Feds about a strange case involving mysterious deaths of pregnant women. We followed clues and information leading to the entity killing the women was a "myling" from Norse mythos. A bunch of other shit happened, but we managed to save the next potential victim and the mother of the myling, Krystal. She's now living with one of my new friends (?) I made, Dr. Melvin.
I honestly don't really know what to think, right now. I'm glad Krystal is okay and I'm glad I was able to put all of my abilities to use. But I still really miss Evelyn, I felt so unprepared for this kind of thing. But I guess I can say one thing for certain, I made some new contacts. I don't know if I trust them completely, but Melvin didn't steal any of my books while he was in my private collection and I didn't take any of his (even though there was only a couple worth taking). I gave him the book we discovered the myling in as a peace offering and a sign of respect. I would like to work with this group again in the future.
 
Geoff was a good guy, a little rough around the edges; but he was a good leader in the end. Rasp the other member of the group was a little strange and he always wore that mask. I wanted to ask about it, but I don't know him like that. I enjoyed working with Dr. Melvin as well, it was almost like the old days with Evelyn. Studying and reading with another person felt nice. Reflecting on the case file, I learned a lot of new things including I still have a lot left to lean. But I made some new allies.
