Feyre wakes with a start. Something that doesn't seem too unfamilar to her as of late. Why can't her dreams ever give her something good. A basket full of kittens, a moment of riches, a nice romp with a handsome guy in the grass. No, tonight she dreamed about poetry. It was pretty sure, but it seemed to her like it was more than just rhyming words. Maybe it meant something more. She just couldn't put her finger on it.
She dresses early that morning and scribbles what she remembered of the poem down on a spare bit of parchment. No one is up yet so she eats a quiet meal and studies her work.
"Obsession consumes her absent heart......
Which lay in pieces four........
Envy poisons every other part.....
Any yearns for something more......"
She thinks as she chews. "Is that (the name of the lady with the ghost daughter, i dont remember her name)" Fey thinks out loud. "Her obsession certainly tainted alot of what we have been going through these last few days."
"First thor mourning mother....Yes.... yes that has to be her." she chews more of her food and looks at the other clues she wrote down. "I hope that I wrote this down right."
"Every breath she will ever make.....
Is a wish for Lord Stahd's love....
Four Obsessions now seek to take....
Box, Mirror, Comb, and Glove....."
"Wait... that box we found. is that the box in the poem?" She closes her eyes and tries to recall the dream once more to compare with what she wrote.
"First the mourning mother.....
Next, the ghostly son.....
Third, comes a man both dog and bird....
And last, the greediest one....."
She got a sense of unease at that last line.
"With their success, she prevails....
So stop them if you can....
Though now she only cries and wails....
Soon, her joy might undo the land....."
"Her? Is it the same her we took care of or someone else...?" She finishes up her food and cleans up. Her plan is to make her way around the village and maybe find some answers. If she can't today, she will try over the next few days to gather what other clues or information she can find. Even if it might be rumors, it could be something to go on.
