Letter to Nasatzya #5

by Zacharaii Andreiovitch

My dearest Nastazya,

I have sired a Childe. That is the most important news, but first I shall regale you of how we escaped hell.

In my last letter I mention that following the disruption of the corrupted priest Kruthpa and his dark ritual allowing demons to enter our world, we were subsequently trapped within the hellscape they issue out from. We battled a great number of the foul spawn, and eventually were rescued by a great white she-wolf of the Einherjar, who seem to be able to enter and exit this world at will. This she-wolf, named Signi and whom I have met and treated with before, led us to a fissure between our world and this one. Unfortunately we were being pursued by the wyrm-spawn, and the wyrm corrupted werewolves that are called Black Spiral Dancers, and they caught up to us just as we were about to escape. And the Wyrnhosts leader was the sister of the young Malkavian, Lucrezia, or at least appeared to be. The hellbitch barred our way and kept us easily escaping by snatching Lucrezia away, and as you well know I won't easily abandon a compatriot, even one as deranged as this one. Whomever made her did her a great dis-service. Then the most unusual thing happened I have ever seen, we were saved by lyncanthropes, Garou and a Ursine-were. To make a long story short, after we escaped the demon-realm we as a group unleashed all of the gifts we were graced with to help preserve what we could of our saviours. It seemed to do less would have been dishonourable.

We also brought with us out of hell the two humans, one dead and one alive, and both important to us for different reasons. The one who had expired I attempted to revive into a Ghoul through the use of my blood, however he was too far gone and was instead brought into the fold of our Clan. his name is Broga. So, now begins the task of teaching him the ways of our Kin. The other is the Childe's father and he was made a Ghoul as a means to tie both father and son more tightly. I have plans for him in relation to the running of the human settlement I find myself presiding over. It will take time, but I believe both will turn into fine servants in the future. Ivan is not amused, but he will adapt.

On the settlement, Elmham, I am endeavoring to turn it into a trading center and port. It has suitable natural resources, metals to mine, stone to quarry, and a large enough population to support a small elite population. It too will take time to grow and thrive, assuming it is given the time and space to flourish it could eventually be a great city.

Mithras will surely be aware of our return shortly, as one of his creatures will undoubtedly report to him on our adventure. However, all in all, things are well save our extended absence.

All my adoration and love,
Zacharaii
