My Dearest Anstasya,
Unforeseen progress has been made in insinuating myself into Mithras' good graces, at least so far as continuing to build up this village my group and I have been charged with. The rest of the evening was dull, full of scheming, politicking, and general socializing. You would have adored it and been in your element. As it was, I had to make due. the big surprise of the night is when the Herald for the night announced me as one of Mithras' Barons, even if it is over such a small and insignificant plot of land. In addition, I made contact with another of our kind who plies the seas, and may have asked him to consider the river routes through the plains as a reasonable route to the great roman city on the straits.
Forgive the abruptness of this ending, there are some report of a "City in the Sky" that I must investigate further, more to come later.
With all my adoration and love,
Zacharaii
