My darling, little brother,
We received the bounty (2 gold that I earned myself!!) for the gnoll camp and rescuing those citizens. Sahala kept her word and bought us dinner. Then, she took Wishes and Kuri into a back room to further discuss the tooth around Kurigath's wrist. Turns out, it's a basilisk tooth. I was eavesdropping (not as well as mama does). Do you remember Temerity? I only recognized her face at first, but she's the adopted daughter of the King and Queen on Montia. Turns out, Sahala and Temerity were orphans along side Kurigath, but they still claim that Kuri is an imposter. Though, they said that Kuri killed the matron of the orphanage, and would be missing an arm and an eye.
Thankfully, it didn't end terribly and they came and spoke with the whole group. Sahala and Temerity want us to look for their brother, Upir, a red-scaled dragonborn. It kept burning me up that Sahala was being hypocritical about family. Saying that she wants her sister back, but doesn't and all that junk. That she loves her, yet things would be royally messed up if she was actually back. So, I scolded her and tried to get her to be a sister if that's what she wanted so bad, but she wouldn't have it... The sisters are trying to save up money to resurrect their matron, and I kind of just want to ask mom if their matron even wants to come back. I don't know. I don't want to seem like I'm running back home. Hopefully a woman named Shoncodu can help Kurigath and the sisters...
That night, though, Sahala was being shifty and Wishes and I tried to break into a safe. It. . . went as well as you'd expect. Mom would NOT be proud.
The next morning, we went to find more degenerates of the town to see if we could get any leads on Upir. Alowiscious found one that told us Upir went to Tilum and tried to court the duchess. HA! Good luck with that!!
We've booked passage on a ship, but I have to keep it a secret about what's on board. So, I may not write for a couple of days, but I will as soon as I can.
With all of my love,
Lily.
