First I would like it to be noted that we were wrong earlier and we're actually not on a Moon.
Zanderbey was thinking of the wrong report. We are in fact on a planet.
I realise that it may be a small thing to mention but when you might die soon you may just
want to be proven right one more time before it happens.
Don't judge me.
So here we are. Suck inside a security booth with one entrance being pounded on by what I can only assume is a few hundred ghouls. Sooner or later they're going open this bitch up like a tin can and eat us. I do not look forward to this.
Zanderbey managed to turn the second scatter gun we picked up in here into a bomb. May take out a few. But from what I can hear it's probably not going to make too much of a difference.
Maybe there's another way out?

Alright so we're not dead just yet. Not that our situation is too much better. We're in the vents the same vents that we know the Ghouls use to move around some of the time. So I'm not exactly super jazzed about that. Still my physical remains are not currently sitting in several Ghouls colons, or whatever their approximation of that is, sooo silver lining?
Silver Lining.
As it turned out there was a Ysoki hiding in the vents. Led us out. Guess Chip figured it was his best chance of getting out of this cursed place alive. Not going to lie it probably is, but chances all round still ain't looking to be the greatest. Zanderbey saw a Datapad with some power in the Mess Hall through one of the cameras in the security booth. If we are lucky then maybe just maybe it'll have some sort of note about a secondary exit.
Here's hoping.

Got the Datapad.
Set Several Ghouls on Fire.
Mess Hall compromised needed to lock door and leg it.
Will update again when not running for life.

We crawled through the vents again. Eneded up just past the security booth. Still has several hundred Ghouls trying, and currently failing, to get in. Judging by what Chip, Zanderbey and I could see it'll take them another two to two and a half hours to get inside. Zanderbey has assured me that the bomb will defintiely still be working when they make it inside. Nice to know that a consolation prize awaits these bastards.
We got lucky.
The Datapad didn't have a lot on it, and some of it was kinda disturbing. Whoever owned it talked about talking to Laura in accounts a lot. Later mentioned that asking for a date. It did not go well. After which it stated that her husband was equally unamused, but I digress.
The useful though less dramatic, and creepy part of the Datapad. Noted that theirs a Landing Pad down in the Labs past the criminal holding cells. Chip had nothing good to say about those. Apparently every so often scientists would come and take someone into the lower labs. Prisoners went in and never came back out. Which about matches up with everything else we've seen since we got here.
I'm lucky that Master had me hunt so many beasts on Castrovel. I can track these things pretty easily. Gotta try to get into the ambush predator, pack hunter mindset. Rather than the Alpha predators she used to have me track. Master liked fighting them. Though if we found a wounded one near the end of my training she'd occasionally joke about throwing me in the deep end.
At least I really hope she was joking.
None of the alpha predators on Castroval could be considered push overs even when they're seriously injured.
Anyway judging by the number of cells in the prisoner quarters the Ghouls numbers add up. Also I'm pretty sure that everything I've seen here would count towards some kind of major war crime. I swear if I get out of this alive I'm going to slap as many charges as I can against these assholes. Staring with the major stuff and then the really petty stuff. Like their walkways not being up to code, or the stuff in the Medbay not being labelled properly.
I'm going to be really petty.

Soooo now I know how the Ghouls got everywhere.
They were testing out a virus and when one of the test subjects got out of control rather than use the antidote on the people it infected the lead scientist decided he wanted to take a look at how people changed in an uncontrolled environment.
Has anyone else started getting uncomfortable ever since the word Mad started fitting comfortably before the word Scientist?
No?
Just Me?
Okay Then.
Sooo the fight is a bit of blur apparently I lost it there for a bit and slipped into some kind of berserker rage. So I don't really remember most of it. Apparently I was busting up, and getting busted up. By a couple of crazy mofo's with tasers before some biologically enhanced Ghouls broke out of their containment.
Then we ran like scared little girls.
Oh and Zanderbey actually managed to hit something with that gun of his. This time it was a target at range too! Even if the first one was stationary.
To top it all off as we escaped we killed the last Bio-Monster Ghoul by peppering it with fire from a gun ship while I threw a Photoblast the size of a small bus, or maybe even a modest Cafe, at it.
I've been in and out of consciousness for the last few hours.
I'm going to get some more sleep.
