The Maudelyn Coat of Arms was reactivated by Priestess Aurra Maudelyn in 1050BD. She modified it from her ancestral standard, including a sword and a spear along with changing the Escutcheon that the Coat of Arms is displayed upon.   Each symbol upon the Coat of Arms has a meaning:   The large star represents Lady Aldriel   The two stars below represent Lady Vega, the inheritor of Lady Aldriel and Lady Wayla, patron Star of healing.   The scales represent law, order, and justice.   The Sword, Shield, and the new Escutcheon she has chosen represent Priestess Maudelyn 's personal view of her duties as a healer and a soldier.   She feels it is her duty to help others whenever possible, however sometimes that help can only be provided at the tip of a spear or the sharp edge of a blade. The blade however should never be used in pure anger, and should always be used with justice in mind or, failing that, at the very least be used to further the freater good.
