Coppersail Corsairs
About
The Coppersail Corsairs area proxy-pirate crew formed from the remains of the Copper Street Solutions. Operating in the Booty Bay, they are driven by a desire for profit and greed inherited from their goblin roots. While the Corsairs operate as any pirate group answering to none but their captain and driven by the desire to earn wealth, in truth they are an organization loyal to Jastor Gallywix.
Led behind the scenes by the Board, they will agitate and instigate conflict where it is possible and profitable in order to fulfill the goal of their leader. Bound by ideals of profit and war, they will let anyone in their ranks. Be it the Horde or the mongrel races seen as unintelligent, as long as they are here to further the goals of the Board and Gallywix’s interest.
Background
Formerly known as the criminal company "Copper Street Solutions" they were forced to become something further, something bigger. A bunch of assassins was sent to kill the Copper Streets, however, they managed to escape. They fled to Booty Bay with whoever was following Blonzy at that time. However, Blonzy's right hand was temporarily sent by the board to help him back on his feet after his arrest. Sadly he didn't make it, he was in Orgrimmar when it all happened.
It took only about a day until Fizzlegrin, Blonzy's right hand arrived in Booty Bay. He fell on the ground whilst the poison slowly killed but also paralyzed him, a member from the Copper Streets spotted him. Whilst he was dying slightly he said the last few words to Blonzy, he pulled the goblin closer and whispered something in his ear. Blonzy stood back up and looked towards the crew, understanding what had to be done.
Fizzlegrin told Blonzy that the board had plans about becoming an illegal business in Booty Bay, piracy one would call it.
He also had a suspicion of the Overlord, once he came so did the assassins...
Some time passed by with Blonzy as a captain and even he knew he needed someone at his side who knew more about piracy than himself. He tasked Mak'dor to seek contact with the board, trying to get some more answers. Not only came he back with a professional pirate but also with a Dreadnought! He gave it the name "Copper Queen" due to its massive size and power, it would be the queen of the sea he said.
Soon after that day, Sara Goldsail suggested getting a flagship to be a lesser target. Blonzy agreed with her, getting a ship that doesn't use oil but the wind would've been a great vehicle. It only took about a few days until Goldsail made up the plans to attack a ship near Kul Tiras, a ship she used to know quite well from her past.
Mak'dor moved the Copper Queen into position and passed by the large flagship, distracting it while Goldsail and the crew boarded the ship. No mercy was shown, no one knew at that time it was only understandable once Goldsail told the Copper Streets why it had to be that specific ship.
A few days passed, Blonzy, Mak'dor, and Goldsail walked out of the captain's quarters and used a bell to summon everyone.
From now on, we will be known as the Coppersail Corsairs! -Blonzy CoinbladeOnce those famous words were said the adventure of the Corsairs had started.
No solution in sight
Following the purge of the Bloodmark, the betrayal of Hiro, and the shooting of and imprisonment of the Copper Street Solutions enforcer Mak’dor (who was taken to Booty Bay by his fellow ogres) to execute the plan of forming a new pirate crew.
Meanwhile, the Copper Street Solutions were facing long imprisonment at the hands of the Thirteenth Orgrimmar Infantry. The identity of the Solutions was in question; in order to redeem themselves, they had to approach the Data Cleaner to remove all transactions, dealings, and questionable actions they did - to be wiped from history.
On the day they were to approach the data cleaner, they were scammed by two goblins who pretended to be the said cleaners. They managed to take out a considerable sum of gold from them before the actual Data Cleaner approached the Copper Street Solutions and said that he was waiting for them.
In the end, the scammers were caught and punished - and a few days after, the Copper Steet Solutions status was clean.
The Copper Street Solutions were hired by the Thirteenth Orgrimmar Infantry during the Stranglethorn campaign. Whilst they were hired by the Thirteenth they were also protected by Sergeant Sokronal, a man who always cared for Blonzy Coinblade and his new organization. At that same campaign, Sergeant Sokronal was removed from the Thirteenth, accused of treason. The Copper Street Solutions were now vulnerable, it only took a few weeks for them to get assassins after them which drove them to Booty Bay.
Dark times in cold lands
During a campaign in Northrend, the campaign which led to the sky shattering, the dear captain Blonzy Coinblade met his end. Beheaded by Gruggosh from the Thirteenth without any mercy. Blonzy's body dropped to the ground, lifeless as Mak'dor opened his throat and shouted to get Goldsail to assemble the Corsairs back together. Some of the Corsairs got captured, mostly the vulpera's amongst them. Mak'dor and Goldsail were too busy focusing on the incoming wave of the Thirteenth thus granting Tyrinar from the Grim Gest to secretly steal the soul of Blonzy Coinblade. A murloc in the crew managed to see it, however, it took some time for people to understand what the murloc was trying to say.
Only after the battle, it was clear what the necromancer did. Melany got informed of his actions later on the burial of Blonzy, Tyrinar was forced to give it to the new captain, Sara Goldsail.
The end of Mak'dor
Time passed by as if it was nothing, the Coppersail Corsairs took their time to unravel a secret treasure with endless gold! They were sent to Freehold to fight against the Highblood Myrmidons the Corsairs won the fight to then get another clue of where the treasure could be. The ogre which hosted the arena gave the last pieces of info he knew, sending the crew back towards Stranglethorn to pick up the treasure they sought to claim.
A day passed by as the Greedy Siren made it's way back to the jungle, rain fell from above but that didn't stop a bunch of pirates. Soon enough they jumped out of the ship to head for their treasure, Mak'dor stood behind to open a portal to the ship whilst Knuckles and Swab would prepare it to set sail once the crew got back.
Davy remained on the ship whilst helping Swab and Knuckles. It took about half an hour for him to see that a bunch of people, an entire crew ran through the jungle with empty hands. At first, it looked like it was nothing until you could hear Goldsail scream for a portal to be opened.
Through the jungle trees, you could see an army of ghouls, abominations, liches, hounds, and spiders. They all followed the crew towards their ship, Mak'dor managed to open a portal in time for everyone but him to get through. Mak'dor held the portal open as the hounds leaped at his strong arms, leaving deep bite marks in his arms and legs whilst a bolt of frost would hit his back.
The last person of the crew got through but Mak'dor didn't, before he could jump through it the abomination hooked him back whilst the ghouls sought to jump through the portal. He closed to protect his crew but with a sacrifice of his own life.
Misty path
Days passed by as the Corsairs had their grief for Mak'dor, some griefed differently than others, Goldsail definitely struggled the most as he brought her in the crew, thanks to him she is now in such a position. The crew was still on the ship, not setting foot on an island for at least a week to avoid whatever was out there. However, not everything stays on land...
Throughout their weeks of survival, they met curses across the sea, recruited some people which were in a dire situation just like Corsairs were with Mak'dor. They helped them out to eventually recruit them into the Corsairs.
After the heavy few days passed they sailed back for Booty Bay to then figure out it was also being targetted by the scourge, they helped out the bruisers to defend the bay to then also reclaim it and make it a safe place.
Dark tides
The Corsairs haven't been seen for a while, some would begin to believe they're busy with their own business per usual. However, in reality, only the Queensguard knew what they were up to. They were looking to cure their First Mate at that time, one which became solid gold due to his pure greed.
Captain Goldsail managed to catch up with her knowledge, figuring out a way to turn him back to flesh. The stone of Midas, also known as the Philosopher's stone had to be used to reverse the curse. The requirements were, an altar in a forgotten tomb deep within Vol'dun, the stone of Midas, and someone with the knowledge to reverse it.
Goldsail tried to be the priest herself, hoping she could cleanse Davy. Unfortunately, an army of undead skeletons was guarding the tomb, returning to life and rising up again and again. The Corsairs kept on cutting them down, shooting them to pieces but nothing stopped them. The longer the ritual more and more appeared. Near the end, gigantic undead Devilsaurs saught to pash inside, causing the tomb to slowly fall apart.
Everyone was in a hurry which caused people to get sloppy, even Goldsail began to lose focus with each second.
She didn't want to lose Davy however, she did what she could to save him from his gold curse but nothing worked. Only one act managed to set him free, a sacrifice. She gave her life to save Davy Plunderfuse, her First Mate during her time as the Captain.
She sacrificed herself just as Mak'dor did for her back in her days as the new Captain, only through time she would've understood what it meant to sacrifice yourself for someone you care about. Her days as the Captain of the Coppersail Corsairs are over, her acts and deeds won't be forgotten to those who saw her as a hero.
Those who once followed Captain Goldsail sought to head back to the almost destroyed tomb. They hoped they could find Goldsail alive and well. Her body was not to be seen, the only thing remaining there were the shattered pieces of her blade. The gem which once empowered her blade was shattered around the altar as if it was crushed by a foot or something heavy. One could only imagine what could've happened that day.
As of this day, people wonder where her body went to.
A legacy sunken
With Goldsail sailing to her final destination, Davy Plunderfuse took over.
Changes were made along with the loss of Neptulon's Revenge. The loss of the ship came purely out of rage from the board. Davy tried to break free from their will, their wishes. In return, they took away the ship which caused chaos between the two factions. It was also around the time Murtagh Lynch came to the crew. His brother used to be in the crew, handling it along with Davy.
However, his brother, Dylan, failed to do the job properly which caused him to be replaced by the infamous cousin Murtagh Lynch, former Captain of a dangerous and powerful crew called Riptide. The crew was known, it was known to terrorize the bay during the fourth war.
Along with Murtagh they attacked small groups from the board, Davy wanted to show he wasn't playing. Someone within the crew however was an imposter. Someone ratted out to the board. He feared he would die, that Davy would lose the battle against the board. Dutch Rotarm was rather stupid, his plan of backstabbing left him not unnoticed. Even to this day, they will kill him on sight.
He swore to kill Davy but he was never present when the day came... It's said he's in league with the board.
After all these events... The worst thing which could occur happened within the Coppersail Corsairs.
The mutineers first smuggled into Kul tiras to steal themselves a new ship, a kul tiran navy brig and sailed to meet the Sunnyglade Ratters and Dustpaw, with having common interests and promises of new trust and profit the two groups sailed to meet Davy, who have bargained with the Loyalists, after a long debate and judgment, Murtagh was able to convince...or perhaps trick them into realizing they cannot trust Davy anymore, so the loyalist executed Davy but insisted that they still wanted a fight from the mutineers, those who were still loyal to Davy such as Alb, Utvoch and Skroll were either killed in the battle that took place after or joined the loyalist, now with the new ship and a new captain. Coppersail enters a new age as Murtagh said in his victory speech "We take no grudge, we take only fortunate, luck and freedom!"
