The Lantern Lit War

The Lantern Lit War was a short war that lasted from 89BM - 86BM. It was a sort of "Cold War" between The Roripop Kingdom and Shiokosho City where there was almost no bloodshed. Each nation kept an eye on each other, trying to one up each other in terms of militia and intel. The war got its name from the night the Roripop Kingdom's documents were stolen. Moya's Lantern was full, shining an eerie blue light across the continent.

The spying lasted for nearly three years, when the Roripop Kingdom caught wind that Shiokosho had stolen private royal documents from them. This caused an outrage and led to the kingdom launching a full scale attack against Shiokosho.

At the time, the only way from the Roripop Kingdom to Shiokosho City was through a mountainous pass and across a huge stone bridge crossing a large canyon that was built for trade purposes decades ago. Shiokosho was waiting for this attack and had troops at the ready on the bridge and the mountains surrounding it. The two armies clashed, thus giving it the name Battle on the Big Bridge.

The Conflict

Prelude

Shiokosho City was trying to gather intel about other nations for a scheme they plotting. It is unclear what it is they were planning to use this intel for, but it was most certainly not good. This information included things like militia size, population, funds, and any other secrets that may be lying about.

Once one of Shiokosho's spies was caught trying to sneak into The Roripop Castle, The Roripop Kingdom went on the offensive, trying to not only protect themself but also steal the information Shiokosho might have stolen from others.

Deployment

It was a battle of wit and skill as the two nations attempted to cheat, lie, and steal from each other to become the dominant nation. It was a time of paranoia and fear; no one knew who they could trust, if anyone at all. Both nations fell into a frenzy, until Shiokosho finally won.

It is unclear what they stole from the kingdom, if anything at all, but a full on attack was launched against Shiokosho in the coming week.
