The older brother of the twin kings, Fortuna is also the spitting opposite of his brother. He is physically perfect specimen. This handsome visage, though, hides the brain of a madman. He is a cruel man, who delights in the misfortune of others. He is especially prone to funneling his cruelty to his brother.
Those who reside in his keep fear his rage, and live on eggshells. His twin hound, Costau, having been linked to Fortuna since birth is just as twisted as he is. She has attacked many people in the kingdom, and guards Fortuna with a ferocious cruelty. Those who are attacked are usually paid off by the Church of Twin Gods, or simply made to disappear.
He is a known womanizer, and many a brothels living quarters in the Landing are filled with bastard children sired by him. He carries the Crown of Brandish and the Staff of Fell, in opposition to his brother. His cruelty toward his brother has only resulted in a lack of copulation between the Kings and the Queen.
It has been posited by his brother that Fortuna only stalls the birthing of Twin Princes in order to stoke the superstitions of the people, in order to eventually gain enough support to enact a policy similar to the Culling. Considering his cruelty and conniving ways, these rumors are not without merit.
The only person who he shows any respect towards is the Queen. Whether via actual respect for her, or the knowledge that her sway over the populace is a trait he can use for his own gain, he bows to her whim in order to appease her.
An interesting fact about the twins is that both twins have brunette hair, despite all three of their parents being blonde.
