Radicciolo Crime Family

Originally hailing from the lands that would become the free kingdom of Dunnywild, the Radicciolo Crime Family was at one point the major crime syndicate in the Rivals Monarchy/Dunnywild landmass. After the split of the two countries, they were driven out of the country, and settled in the independent city-state known by their surname. Supposedly reformed over the generations since their removal from the mainland, they are now seen as a 'legitimate' family business. They export many artisanal and more readily available goods, usually vices of varying natures. Their brewed ale, Dirkx, is consumed world wide. It is also not uncommon to see a Radicciolo-owned casino in most large cities as well. They also have hands in other consumer vices, such as tobacco and smoke weed products, all forms of sex work and traveling carnivals. Many of the upper class in neighboring countries rent vacation homes in the city state owned by the family, leasing directly from the family itself.
Despite its relatively small size, the city state is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. They run the city state with an iron fist, in a communal government, with the family at the center. Roughly 90% of those residing on the island full time are directly blood related to the Radicciolo family; the other 10% are required to pay a "blood pact" tax, granting them "Conditional Family Status". Those that vacation on the island are not exempt from this tax either, with it being built into their leases.
Anyone caught without either "Blood Relation" or "Blood Pact" status cards on the island are immediately imprisoned, with a minimum sentence of 10 years; this is typically served in hard labor.
