The Scripture of the Divine Duality

The Scripture of the Divine Duality

The Scripture of the Divine Duality is the main religious text of the The Church of the Twin Gods . It recounts the many parables and tales of the church and the Twin Gods they worship, Brandish and Fell
The main text covers their beliefs in the following areas:
  • Creation
  • The Shatter
  • The Great Migration
  • Landing in Rivals Monarchy
  • Creating the Monarchy
  • The first Twin Kings
As with any religious text, it is written in many styles and incorporates many prophecies and predictions among its 'historical' record.   The 'historical' accuracy of the text is dubious at best, with some claims lining up with known historical fact. Overall the text claims that the birth of a dark counterpart to the People, are what created what they call "The Shatter ", which forced all the people of The World to Migrate off their former Paradise and settle in other lands. This is referenced to as the The Great Migration , which in this instance does relatively line up with historical fact. From this point on, it becomes more historically accurate as it details the settling and creation of Rivals Monarchy and the birth of the first twin kings. The text ends abruptly after detailing the first few generations of the Monarchy.   Due to the extreme nature of the text, in relation to adherence to the commandments of the religion, many outise of The Monarchy view the church as a cult. This, coupled with the dogmatic reverence given to the clergy, only cements this belief among the other countries of ÁVRA   *meta notes*: The fact that the churches doctrine mirrors many of the actual events that occurred leading to the shatter, is not known by any of the monarchy or its church. This similarity is probably due in part to the original writers having been alive to witness all or some of the actual shatter and the oral stories being passed down during the migration being construed into what was eventually put on the page of the Scripture.*
