Burden Tome ~General

Purpose

A Burden Tome houses a being who has committed a crime. Such a crime that was committed are various. Though this is not a light punishment. Being sentanced to a burden tome means that no prison or jailer can be trusted to contain the prisoner. Each Burden Tome contains one prisoner.
The first burden tome was created as a last ditch effort. This tome acts as both a prison and a font of knowledge. For the prisoner in the book can be comunicated with as well as knowledge and memories they have appear on the pages.

Document Structure

Clauses

No book is truly organized the same, as it is the prisoner inside that controls the flow. One might be arranged chronologically, while another may have special interests organized.

Caveats

A crime or intent to commit a catostraphic or shattered event. Such as genocide, mass murder. Attempting to take over the world, over throw a leading power for personal gain and not betterment of the people. If someone is doing it in a civil war type way that is fine, but in a absolute power or just to force things there way is not okay, generally coincides with mass murder.
Sentences vary, minimum is ten years, maximum is 1000 years confined.

Publication Status

Burden tomes are not accessable by the general public. Only those with special permission from Order of The White Raven or a Monarch may grant access to Burden Tomes. Most people believe these to be a myth, or a lost practice.
Burden tomes are held and guarded in vaults by Guardians. They also track sentences and magical artifacts that may have belonged to the prisoners.
