History
Created by an alchemist on a quest for vengeance against
Garrac, and brewed using the blood of a monstrosity assembled by
an Immortal, this potion caused a great amount of disruption during
The Festival of Change - 674 MA. Eventually
The Exotics meddled enough in the alchemist's affairs that she left the city after issuing a dire threat to Garrac.
One only hopes that she did not have spare doses or vials of blood on her when she left...
Mechanics
Immediately after drinking the potion, you feel your entire body grow warm and your heart beat increase to near dangerous levels. If you would die within 24 hours of drinking the potion, you are immediately resurrected, removing all wounds and conditions, and your body rapidly changes:
- You gain 5 extra hit dice, and may roll them immediately to increase your hit point maximum
- You gain proficiency in one saving throw of your choice
- Roll 1d8. You gain an equal number of points to allocate to one of your ability scores, with a maximum of 24.
- Roll 1d6+1d4 twice and consult the Ability Table below. Mutations begin to take over, causing incredible effects. You might increase in size, grow spikes or a shell, perhaps even begin to breathe fire!
Side-Effects
The stress this potion places on your body is overwhelming. Every few days (determined by DM) after consuming this potion, you must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, your maximum HP is reduced by 10d10, as your organs begin to burst, muscles tear internally, and your heart begins to give out.
