Majesty, Crown of Zia
Wings of Glory
Said to be the last thing Zia held before her ascension, it was a gift thrice blessed by the gods - forged by Katas, enchanted by Olsír, and imbued with Talsia's eternal radiance.
The crown itself has been said to have many forms, changing based on the wearer and their intent, but is most often seen in one of two ways; the first is a laurel wreath made of solid gold that generates ethereal wings of light floating just behind the wearer's back. The second is a heavy golden helm with metal wings extending from either side, glowing from within.
History
The Archonomachy
The Crown was created and given to Zia during the Archonomachy, granting her power and authority both. She wore it constantly, using its gifts to aid her army and lead them to victory, saving the world and creating an empire. The Planeswalker
After Zia ascended, and The Empire became The Republic, her helm was passed on to Sídra Apele, who wore it for many years while she protected the then-young Òssan Republic from threats within and without. As The Planeswalker herself grew in power and began to work towards her own goals instead of always following those of Zia, she gave the Wings to the Temple leaders of the time to hand out at their leisure.A Legion of Heroes, And Countless Graves
Over the centuries, the Crown was given to several paladins, priests, aasimar, leaders and legends; each one lauded as the next great saviour, the next great ruler of the world. The Gods know and saw how so many shone so brightly, defeating great monsters, establishing ancient cities, saving many lives. But none could ever hold a candle to Majesty's original wearer. Each hero met their end too soon, each leader was ousted or assassinated, each legend brought low and silenced. Eventually, the Church of Zia stopped declaring new heroes, stopped handing out their sacred relic only to have it returned in failure, and secretly gave Majesty back to The Planeswalker where it had remained for generations. The Champion
Zykída Miliades is an aasimar of rare power, drive, and influence, raised from birth to become the greatest hero in the world. She has ascended beyond the strength of nearly any champion before her, and saved more lives than anyone could hope to count. And yet even she has seen failure and setbacks, struggling to rise to Zia's ever-increasing demands. Lacking morale, moving forward on willpower alone, she seemed half ready to admit defeat and die fighting. Around the same time she seemed at her lowest, The Exotics found Sídra's home, and asked her to grant Zykída the crown along with the power it bestows. The Planeswalker approved, and Zykída found the crown a few days later, granting her confidence and strength anew. What she will do with it in the coming days is yet to be seen, but is guaranteed to be glorious...Mechanics
