Description
Forged with a starmetal core and engraved with celestial, this impressive stone weapon's most notable features are the two orbs that orbit its blade; one a star of light, the other of darkness.
Yet in comparison to many of its created siblings, many would consider it weak. For this creation, its title as a relic comes from
what made it instead of
where it was made.
History
Creation
One of several powerful relics crafted within
Katas' Godforge by
The Exotics in order to aid them in their trials to come. This weapon in particular was forged by
Odessa Deo.
Mechanics
Blessings of Divinity
If you are an Aasimar, demigod, or some other form of celestial being, the glaive grows in power with you. For those with transformations, the glaive and its orbs gain a +1 magic bonus to hit and damage rolls for each tier of transformation above the first. For celestials without transformations, you gain a +1 for each 5 levels attained, up to a maximum of +3.
Weightless
Due to the interactions between this glaive's magnetic and gravitational properties, the blade itself seems extraordinarily light, allowing you to use your choice of strength or dexterity for your to hit and damage rolls.
Light and Dark
Each orb can be used to make attacks with a range of 20ft and using Intelligence for their hit and damage modifiers. The bright star deals 1d4 + int radiant damage, and the void star deals 1d4 + int necrotic damage.
If you take the attack action while the spheres orbit the glaive, you can make an additional attack with one of the stars with your bonus action.
Push and Pull
You may use an attack to expend one of your stars to cause a sudden burst of gravitational energy at a location of your choice within 30ft of you, with the effect depending on which star is expended:
- Void Star: All creatures within 20ft must succeed on a DC 15 Strength save or be pulled towards the center of the radius and fall prone.
- Bright Star: All creatures within 20ft must succeed on a DC 15 Strength save or be pushed up to 20ft away from the center of the radius and fall prone.
Once a star has been used in this way it disappears, returning either at midnight the next day for the Void Star or noon the next day for the Bright star. While a star is absent, you cannot use it to make attacks with or make use of this feature again.
