0-68fv
During the Age of exploration very few outsiders made contact as the shores of northern W'en ya are very hazardous with strong currents and high cliffs. The boats of the day couldn't withstand the strain and people believed the land was full of monsters. The only souls crazy enough to brave the southern waters were desperate pirates looking for a place to hide. These pirates sometimes captured H'oven people and brought them to Terren as rare goods. They are hearty people used to colder climes and became the most sought after heavy labor force of Terren plantations.69-177fv
When slavery was abolished in Terren and the market for them was gone, the H'ove where mostly left alone again. They had learned to be weary of what they called The Water People. Any attempt at trade by the Oth was met with violence and fear and W'en Yah was too cold for Avalia to survive.178fv-22ed
When the Council fell in Terren many magic users fled to the to W'en Yah to escape the new anti-mage regime. They started a few towns along the edges of the land, mostly in the area of what is now Hharmmonn as not many H'ove lived in that area. Their magic made the cold of W'en Yah bearable and enabled them to spread quickly The H'ove had not forgotten the 'Water People' and were not very open to idea of them taking over the land with there strange ideas of ownership and government. Some H'ove helped the settelers and lived among them, learning about magic and religion, but most were forced to move westward.23ed-210ed
The settlers split the land up into countries and forced the H'ove west to what is now Vent'l'lenro. The majority of all of Ersha's H'ove population lives there to this day.Geography
