Aeyd means hearth/the center in Sound of Air also called Rekian, the language spoken in The Station. Aeyd doesn't think that it fits them. But they aren't pressed to change it either. They prefer to keep to themselves which means that their name isn't used that much anyway.

Friends

Aeyd only have one friend, ʘakarilku, also called Kae. They have known each other since they were little. When they were 12 they met at school. Aeyd did not enjoy how one of the other kids acted towards Kae and stepped in. Kae has been attached to them ever since then. Aeyd enjoys her company, but sometimes they wonder if it's just because they are used to her. There are 2 other people who, without Aeyd’s consent, are also vying for the spot of Aeyd's best friend. Aeyd was used to working alone in their shop until Cel, a person who works part-time in other stores around the block, demanded to become Aeyd’s Tattoo assistant. Aeyd was convinced, and Cel now works at Needle & Pins. Cel calls themselves Aeyd’s best friend, but Aeyd does not agree. Mar is an exhange Magick teacher that Aeyd has just met. Aeyd doesn’t know what to do about him. They do find the guy intriguing. But it’s a hassle to interact with people…

Aeyd, like their friend ʘakarilku, has a lot of siblings—29 to be exact. But that is because their parents are in a kitchen-table polyamorous relationship with 9 people where there is a primary triad. As Aeyd is a Dragons, they were born from a Dragon egg. All 9 of the partners in the polyamorous relationship provided magic to Aeyd’s egg, which means that they are a child of all of them. Not all of Aeyd’s siblings are from all of Aeyd’s parents, but they are still considered Aeyd’s full siblings. At least in this family. Aeyd is the third oldest of all the children. Aeyd and their two older siblings were all clutch mates, and that is why all 9 partners provided magic to them. This clutch was produced by one of the triad. All clutches produced by a member of the triad have all 9 partners as parents while when the cluthes that are produced by one of the other partners, not all partners participated. Aeyd sometimes hangs out with family members who they enjoy spending time with, but they wouldn’t call them friends. One of their nephews, who enjoys art, visits often. He has a couple of tattoos made by Aeyd and Cel.

Aeyd is a mint-colored dragon. Mint is a pretty uncommon color on The Station. It’s slightly more common on the Monochrome section of The Station than on the other sections, though. Aeyd is taller than the average dragon chooses to be and doesn’t feel the itch to be a dragon as often as other dragons do, so they very rarely change to their dragon shape. They also usually keep their horns hidden. Their horns are of the common variety, and they are slightly darker mint than their skin and hair. Aeyd usually wears hot pants, thigh-high socks, sneakers with a high sole with lights in them, a sleeveless turtleneck, and a large hoodie. They have many different clothing items of these types in different colors, but they usually wear a purple hoodie, and the other items are usually black. They do have a couple of other clothing options as well, but those usually collect dust in Aeyd’s closet. They have picked up these when they have been looking at clothing stores online or browsing stores in person. They enjoy doing this and think that they will be using the new clothes, but they rarely do. They feel comfortable in the clothes that they are used to.

Aeyd is very introverted. They get very tired when they have to interact with people, which clashes with their chosen work. Getting an assistant has helped with this. People that they have known for a very long time and that they like don’t zap as much energy away from them. Some, like their best friend Kae, can even energize them, but very rarely. Aeyd is intellectually curious, and they value creative ingenuity. They enjoy learning new things, but mostly only about the subjects that interest them. While they appear to be antisocial and unfriendly, they are to some degree, they still value connection. But only to people who can keep up with them. For them, an ideal friendship is low maintenance, and they prefer to spend time with them in the same room without interacting much.

Aeyd enjoys spending time in their garden or painting. They have sold some paintings to a couple of galleries, entertainment companies and other companies as well as commissions. They do earn money on this, but they still call it a hobby since they only do it when they feel like it. Aeyd also plays tabletop games and games on their Modi. This is secret, but they also voice-acted for a game several years ago.
