Argendale
The city of Argendale is one of the oldest, most wealthy, and most prominent cities in The Aisles. Argendale is the most northern capital city in the The Speckled Sea being located east of Dunwall and north of Graymiir.
Government
The govermental system of Argendale revolves around a council of five. The five members of this council are based on the five families of Argendale. This council desides upon major city wide issues with smaller issues being dealt with as each family sees fit within their own districts (assuming the issue does not extend across multiple family districts as then the entire council would have a say in the resolution of the shared issue).
Defences
The great walls of Argendale, its segmented layout, its sheer size and population, as well as its geographical position make Argendale a near impossible seige to undertake.
Infrastructure
Argendale is built on the south-eastern shore of the island Turm'agrn. The inner most section, called "the Palm," rests atop a tall cliffside protecting it from most attacks from sea. Within the Palm there is a section simply called "The Hall." The Hall is the section where most governmental work is done reguarding the whole of Argendale. The Hall is also the area where the Council of Five meet as for these reasons The Hall is not owned or controled by any one family but by every family at once. The palm itself is not controled by any one family but instead shared by each family. From the Palm extends five walls that, some say, resembles the shape of a humanoid hand. These walls are segmented by several towers as they extened outward with each tower also extending walls perpendicular to the main five walls originating at the Palm. These perpendicular walls conect to the other towers sub-dividing the four sections between the walls into even smaller sections. The two most outer walls (those being on the nothern and sountern most sides) follow the cliffface as it lowers into the shoreline of Turm'agrn. At a point, the subdividing walls end with the last line of these walls being refered to as "the outer walls." From these outer walls there are five walls that continue outward ending with their own tower. These walls are unlike the main walls of Argendale as they slope downward from their begining with their lowest point being right outside their ending towers which, themselves, are only about 20 feet. These slopped walls are called "reaching walls." Outside the outer walls and between the reaching walls lie towns, farms, and ranches. The town/villages tend to hug the wall and stay within the reaching walls while the farms and ranches spread for miles away from Argendael "proper."
Guilds and Factions
Within Argendale there are five factions/guilds/families that each control a section of the city, both in a physical sence as well as in economic, production, and political aspects. Each family controls a physical section of the city with each section speciallizing in their family's main intrest. Not to say everyone within a section has the same job or trade (duh) but within a section the majority of imports and exports are centered around the 'family intrest.' The five families of Argendale are the Trost Family, Haer'mir Family, Ladrone Family, Karkenuu Family, and the Midrigir Family.
Trost: The Trost family is one of the most respected families in Argendale even with the Trost sector of Argendale being located past the outerwalls. The Trost family's primary tarde is that of produce and livestock with its secondary being that of expert beast hunters, called the "Scout Corps." The family of Trost provides a large amount of the food needed to keep Argendale running while also providing, almost exclusively, the mounts for both the Argendalian Gaurd and the Imperial Navy. The members of the Trost family are seen as logical, trustworthy, hard workers, and very wise in the area of agriculture and animal handling.

Haer'mir: The Haer'mir family is most well known for being shrewd businessmen and investors with many having large influences both in The Empire as well as in foreign cities (such as Kroth). The family of Haer'mir is an important asset to the Empire as they are able to help manage the Imperial economy as well as important dealings with foreign nations. The Haer'mir also contain many well known politicians who travel across The Empire gaining support and power for their personal enterprises/intrests. Ladrone: The Ladrone family is largely a family of architects, engineers, inventors, masons, and smiths. The great walls of Argendale and most of the buildings within those walls were built either by or with the blessing of the Ladrone family. The Ladrone are expert engineers and collaborate with the Midrigir family often on military innovations in both offensive and defensive measures. Both the Midrigir and Ladrone families are expert ship builders with the Midrigir builders focusing on fast attack crafts and the Ladrone builders focusing on larger battleships. The members of the Ladrone family also work with members of the Karkenuu family when it comes to the exchange of knowledge (new innovations/inventions - forgotten ways of old) as well as the creation/implementation of magical items requiring unusual construction.
The Ladrone family crest is a tan aqueduct on a blue background.
The Ladrone colors are blue and tan (sometimes yellow).
Karkenuu: The Karkenuu family an ancient family of scholars, teachers, scientists, philosophers, and magic researchers. Members of the Karkenuu family are often found researching in libaries, studying at Imperial colleges, or teaching at Imperial colleges with several Imperial colleges being founded by the Karkenuu family. Both secular and magical colleges have been created under the care of the Karkenuu. The Karkenuu family specialize in studying magical artifacts and learning how to read/write/speak Celestial, the language of magic with many members become fluent in Celestial and gaining the title of "Wizard." These magically fluent members do not have to become Imperial Arcanics but are greatly "enticed" by the benifts that come with that appointment. The Karkenuu family sometimes works with the Ladrone and Midrigir families when creating magical items or using magic when needed.
The Karkenuu family crest is an open black and blue book with a silver star rising out from the pages that's giving off purple energy.

Midrigir: The Midrigir Family has long since been a family devoted to the creation of the very best warriors, soldiers, tacticians, and military leaders. Along with being the most comited to military might, the Midrigir family is also the most religiously fervent. The Midrigir distric has the largest number of churches and members serving as priests/war priests. When not spreading the word of Umberlee (through force or not), the Midrigir family are training, forging, sparing, praying, or building ships that can give any nation's fastest a run for their money. A large majority of the Agendale Guard is comprised of members from the Midrigir family.

Architecture
Each of the five family districts have their own architectural style.
The Trost district has many rural buildings with one of the main resources used being that of wood and rough (or uncut) stone.
The Haer'mir district uses large amounts of gneiss and marble in their architecture. Haer'mir buildings tend to be large, smooth, and sturdy, often looking like the structure is made out of one solid stone.
The Ladrone district has a great deal of buildings incorporating both stone and metal into the construction and design. Ladrone buildings are usually not very tall but are quite long and wide.
The Karkenuu district uses a many of towers in their architecture as well as incorporating architectural designs from many different islands and nations. This gives the district a very foreign atmosphere.
The Midrigir district has very long buildings, like the Ladrone district, and uses mostly limestone and wood in their construction except when it comes to the districts many churches and temples. In the construction of these churches and temples only the best cut marble and granite.
