Fort Kaydwen
Forst Kaydwen, the Citadel of the Kingdom, is very much the opposite of what most people think a functioning city would look like. On the tumultuous island of Valstrum, Fort Kaydwen is a standing testament to the hardships dealt with by the inhabitants and the ruler of the stronghold.
History
The fort itself was built by the fire giant known as Thormac Kaydwen during the war against the true dragons. He, along with his half-giant sons, slain the black dragon Mal that dwelled in the lower part of the island. The battle lasted for days on end, only seizing when Thormac caused the volcano to erupt and killing the evil black dragon.
