House Hammerfell

One of the older houses of the realm, House Hammerfell ruled the kingdom from 2308 BC - 110 DC being the longest running rule in the kingdom. The house was a beacon of hope and security to any and all who seeked it.

History

During the War of Kings between 2471 - 2308 BC, Lord Brun the Titanslayer led a group of knights and other lords to seize control of the old capital of Novarre; Ironreach near Mount Titanspire. On the 6th of Uktar (11) in 2308 BC, Lord Brun defeated the crazed earth genasi warlord Terra the Insatiable. He secured Ironreach as his throne and the seat of the house for over a thousand years before it was sacked by a dragon attack. In 705 BC, King Yemen the Valient led a raid on the last of the dragons that were known in the kingdom in a mountain cave. The black dragon known as the Black Veil put up a fierce battle that lasted for a full day before it was forced to retreat. With that victory, King Yemen secured the lair as the new spot for the capital of the kingdom, naming it Kal Meur or "King's Mount" in giant.
