Lamusa's Staff
A powerful mystical talisman that can be used by most mystics to strengthen their spells. The staff is about 184 centimeters long and between 3 - 10 centimeters in diameter. The thickest part is at the top. The entire staff is carved with intricate ornaments from top to bottom. A little above the middle there is a piece of worn leather wrapped around the staff with some cords above and below to offer some grip to however is carrying the staff.
It is considered one of the biggest and most powerful Dragon Bone Talismans known to exist. The staff is enchanted to give several status effects to the holder.
- Calm. Suppresses feelings of stress and anxiety.
- Concentration. Allows the holder to focus their attention to a specific task or can more easily pay attention to multiple tasks.
- Aura of Authority & Charm. In a radius of up to 30 meters the people similar to the holder are accepting of orders and can be easier influenced by the staff holder.
Origin
The staff is several thousand years old. According to the legends it was crafted as a gift for Lamusa by a gifted enchanter. Lamusa was a powerful sorceress who served a small city state at the Tigris river. A powerful necromancer killed Lamusa in her sleep and took the staff for himself. With the help of the staff he summoned a great army of the undead an conquered the city and the subjugated the land around it. He ruled as tyrant and was feared by all. The gifted enchanter heard of Lamusa's death many years later. As a member of the Dragon loyalists he asked other's to join him in a raid to take back the staff and make sure that it was once again in deserving hands. He created a small team of assassins who carried out their mission during a silent night. They infiltrated the necromancers stronghold and killed him. The staff was once again back in hands of the enchanter and became a heirloom of the Dragonic Order. It was usually used by the leader of the order or by a high ranking officer. Today the staff is held in a vault somewhere and does not find any use.
