Guermessa

Guermessa was one of the three moons of the planet Tatooine, along with Ghomrassen and Chenini.

In many ways it is an extension of the Tatooine geography and culture with tribes of sand people, Jawas (The two cultural descendants of Tatooine's natives), and sand... lots and lots of sand...

There a few small towns and outposts scattered around Guermessa, but most of the moons populace is located around the single spaceport. When people speak of Guermessa, they are usually referring to this outpost. There is the usual trappings you would expect from a frontier town: a security station, lodging, a few general stores and a thriving cantina called The Drunk Bantha. There is a small amount of import/export moving through the spaceport, though most of it is a cover for the illicit affairs of the local underworld. The security station is a branch of the Tatooine security agency, which has varied from a frontier sherriff station to a republic run law enforement office depending on the time period.
