Book One Plots
In Book One, a small group of Imperials are discharged, counted KIA, or otherwise forgotten and left behind. Forced to make their own way, they flee and meet with others with reason to hate the Empire. Banding together, they exist on the Empire's edge, in the gray area of criminality committed to survive.
Plot points/Scenes
As this is a Meta-Plot, the sub-structures are the actual plotlines for entire Arcs of the Story. To that end, there are five sub-structures. The Main story is tripartite: That Single Step is a story of friendship and betrayal, camaraderie and emnity; The Requirements of Enlightenment is a story of morality and transgressions, codes and conflict; Owing and Owned is a story of responsibility and debt, crime and corruption.
That Single Step is a plotline for the Age of Rebellion characters, which form the majority of the group. The AoR characters, in a party called The Traitors, use The Criminals for their contacts and The Survivors as their powerful trump cards. The Traitors' early operations are about bringing in personnel and solidifying their supplies before escaping the Empire's stranglehold on the Core.
The Requirements of Enlightenment is a plotline for the Force & Destiny characters, what few there are. The F&D characters, in a party called The Survivors, use the larger Traitors party as a cover for their existence and take part in their Operations but tend to do things their way. Their storyline explores personal morality and the direction of them in the group.
Owing and Owned is a plotline about the dangers of debt and obligation. Many characters are accruing or have accrued a certain amount of obligation to certain organizations and those criminals don't care who gets hurt so long as they get theirs. Being among the Traitors
Hunted is a side-story about the Last Hope's encounters with the Galactic Empire's chosen headhunter - Jova Haqzey.
