Chapter 14
General Summary
After the strangeness of Caamas, and the mind-twistingly bizarre infection, The Traitors hoped to find a mellow place in Alderaan, a notably peaceful planet. Alas, it was not to be. No sooner had the Last Hope entered the system than they were met by CR-90 Corvettes bearing the seal of House Organa and demanding they stop, drop power from their weapons, and answer hails. When the hails were answered by Captain Kirana, the system patrol had many questions. While she answered them to the best of her ability, they still demanded that she follow them to an orbital dock and anchor their ship before sending a party to explain themselves to the Queen.
Once in front of the Queen, Kirana was called to account for her "employment" notes on her B.o.S.S. registry, as well as her ship's status, and probably more had Captain Jova Haqzey not stepped from behind her throne to take over the questioning. Captain Haqzey was persistent and cunning, but Kirana had an answer for everything and a swift but reasonable explanation for each situation she was personally part of. The Queen, never one to be pushed around as Captain Haqzey had when he arrived, stepped in and demanded the inquiries stop. She gave a Governor's Pardon for the treasonous "joke" line of her registry and commanded she rectify it before leaving the planet. Then she dismissed Captain Haqzey and spoke quietly with Kirana, sounding her out.
Meanwhile, as Jova was needling Kirana, his 'Hunters' as he calls them were hard at work...
Lieutenant Kase had boarded the ship with two squads of Stormtroopers intent on arresting the individuals that had so badly damaged Corulag Academy. She had to settle for Axelmos, who wouldn't stop flirting, and Solia, who was stoicly and uncharacteristically silent. Shortly, the two were interrupted when four of the Last Hope's crew were brought into the throneroom.
Jenzi Chessus had meandered into the crowd and began flirting with some of Kirana's crew that had come down from the ship, trying to find a weak point. At a stall with jewelry and comms, Shia Naerodi was browsing and Jenzi had her target. Making the poor female flushed and unsure, the confident Dathomirian played her and expressed interest at the same time. Shia came out of it flushed, with a new wrist comm tastefully brightened by artistic metalwork and gems, and with an urge to contact Jenzi when the group was on Dathomir - because Jenzi said she'd be interested.
The Traitors didn't know it, but Jova has more help than those two. His detachment's Lieutenant Commander, a "Hunter" named Valen had patrolled the market in Occupier tanks and ensured that no illegal sales were going down while his ship's Commander, a "Hunter" named Ardross held her TIE squads at the ready for an ambush launch.
Lt. Kase had her prisoners leave the Last Hope and board a shuttle at the station. What Kase and the prisoners didn't know was that their shuttle pilot was a retired Clone who hated these new Stormtroopers. The clone hotshot refused to let Lt. Kase or her troopers onboard, and took off before the prisoners were even buckled in. His maniacal flight left everyone bruised and battered, but he buckled them in before his soft landing in view of the planetary defense forces. When he let the PDF onboard he told them it was disgraceful what the troopers did, beating these helpless and already bound prisoners. The PDF believed it and reported it to the Queen and to Captain Haqzey who, having just left the throne room, saw the prisoners when they were brought into the palace.
