Gem
Gem is a valma or giant ant, originating in the world of After the End. An undistinguished worker ant of the Korravai colony in Samara, Gem first encountered Alfonso by chance in the tunnels of their native colony. Later escorting the youngster during the failed migration of the colony from Samara, Gem survived the cultist's attack as a result to the intervention of the god Khalorean and thus when Alfonso was taken to the next universe by Nexus, the ant was brought along, too.
