The Glacial Plains

The Glacial Plains are a rugged expanse of mostly barren land north of The Sea of Ganpung. The Plains flood during the month of duma, leaving behind a dredged marshland, which gradually freezes over during the following months, and then melts again during the month of Alnaar, only to be flooded again. This creates a unique environment, inhabited by both animals and plants that are adapted to land in both water and on land. Many plants that usually can only be found in the depths of the oceans can also be harvested here during the days and weeks following the great floods, at least before everything freezes over.
