The Haejin Marshes

Roughly translating to The Shadow Marshes, The Haejin Marshes are a stretch of dense and frigid marshlands north of Tang, making up the western parts of The Hisame region of Yamato. The lands here are frequently flooded by frigid coastal waters, creating a strange environment home to many at least semi-amphibian species of animal, plant and Wildkin alike.
Little is actually known about the Wildkin that inhabit this part of the world, though they don’t seem to be particularly fond of Tang, since they launch frequent raids against their territories, and have done so for centuries despite very little success.
