The Kynes

The Kynes are a small highland flanking the east of The Gulf of Kyne on the northern coast of The Emerald Sea. Just like the gulf, The Kynes themselves are filled with many cavernous, almost labyrinthian cave systems, which are said to be rich in gold and emeralds. A large part of these however remains underwater for most of the year, only going dry during the extreme low tides of the harsher seasons on The Emerald Sea.
According to legend, These caverns were created by the great sea serpent Kyne, which used to inhabit and prey upon the people of the gulf during times immemorial. The rich natural resources in these caverns are said to be the repurposed possessions of those people.
