The Yurtus Hills

The Yurtus Hills are a rugged and rocky highland in the southwest of Lower Zagesi, separating it from The Daga-Kurum Desert to its west. They are the main crossing point for travelers from the far west in and out of Lower Zagesi that wish to avoid Upper Zagesi for whatever reason, but are sparsely populated due to the dry and infertile soil, with most people choosing to settle in the nearby city state of Koltai on The Nezendi River.
Besides that, The Yurtus Hills have some prominent clear quartz mines, but are otherwise economically uninteresting, which is made worse by the abundance of marauders and bandits.
