Meekhûhtahqn (Ynvónyẽian; /ˈmeːxûh tahqn/, "Infected Lord")
"Lord Vuerle, headstrong and foolhardy, stood amidst the chaos before the Infected Lord himself. Clad in black armor accented with gold, Meekhûhtahqn is said to have stood a full head taller then Lord Vuerle himself, and was as broad as any orc on the field. He carried a blade that looked more scrap metal than weapon, forged from the same dark metal the king's armor was made of. Those who dared pry their eyes away from the maelstrom around them caught the two in a deadly dance - blows striking armor and swings that narrowly missed biting into something important.Meekhûhtahqn is the King of the The Black Spire and The Kingdom of Four. Often appearing clad in black plate armor, Meekhûhtahqn keeps himself and his nation from the prying eyes of others, making him and his home one of the least known areas on Aanrah despite being a very large and otherwise in open sight area.
A soldier of the Tarme 6th battalion wrote in a letter to his wife that when Lord Vuerle finally landed a true blow on King Meekhûhtahqn, "... a fragment of his helmet broke free, and beneith it was a leering skull, eyes as black and hollow as night. But that fearful king did not act as though any undead I have ever heard of - so graceful and deadly were his movements, that even when he decapitated our dear Lord Vuerle I found myself awestruck.""
Description
Appearance
Outside of the Black Spire, Meekhûhtahqn appears in heavy black armor that shows no hint of what is under it. It is decorated in intricate gold swirls and lines, invoking some parallel to Nymaut artwork, but being distinctly of its own design and style. He usually presents himself unarmed, though he is said to have carried a giant, over-sized great sword or bastard sword during the First and Second Black War. During the Second Black War, damage to Meekhûhtahqn's helmet allowed those around to glimpse the only fleeting look at what lies under the armor the outside world has ever gotten - a simple humanoid skull, with black eye sockets and a worm-like tongue.Under the armor, Meekhûhtahqn does appear to be the skeleton of a tall high elven man, with ragged grey hair still clinging to its skull. Nestled in the chest cavity is a writhing mass of what appears to be many worm-like creatures, or one creature with many appendages. These offshoots snake up and into the skull's mouth and head, with others wrapped around the spine into the pelvis and a few that seem anchored to each arm and leg. This worm-like creature is, in fact, the real Meekhûhtahqn. The skeleton he inhabits is meerely a vessel he uses for convinence and comfort - the body of a ancient high elven king who initially tried to stop him from taking up residence in the greater Vuorlan area centuries before the Black Spire began to be built.
