Session 1; A perilous investigation
General Summary
Been sent to investigate farm as tax collector has not returned, the farm hand has not been seen in town either. Been commissioned by Zdeko Senna. Accompanied by Orivon Freecheeks, halfling servant. Explaining about farm on the way, dangerous once left the main road.
It is the year 151 SAM since arcane magic, divine magic has existed for 1000s years. Characters are currently in the path between Heim and Pustness, its summer, the path is shrouded in hedges around.
Walking along the path we encountered some rabbits running away from some wolves, which we fought, Stuart lanced them and ran away, Cyrus high fived Stuart, helping him out with a sonic screwdriver. Cyrus kills one wolf and Yllaxina kills another. Stuart then drinks blood from the heart of the wolf and Yllaxina and Pip are disgusted at what is happening. Renee pretends not to see, while Cyrus takes note.
We then come across some bandits blocking the path, who claim to be traders, they are currently selling ale. There are 2 people in the cart. As they are passing us, one of the bandits steals a few GP from Renee, Pip notices this and calls them out, Yllaxina fires an arrow to threaten them which starts a fight. After a bloody fight, 1 died and the others were heavily damaged. Pip was knocked out during the fight. Pip used relentless endurance to stay conscious. A short rest occurs for the party to heal up. The party then marches on through the vineyard towards the farm, the party then hears a wolf growling and someone laughing. Walking down the path, the party discovers a goblin riding a wolf and very quickly engages in combat. Cyrus, Renee and Yllaxina quickly jump into the bushes to hide as the goblin and wolf advance, firing at Orivon. Stuart runs up to block any further arrows and the party attempts to attack the duo but to no avail. Yllaxina gets a precision shot off which hits the goblin with force, which causes him to knock the goblin off, its sword falling off its belt and decapitating the wolf. While advancing, a few more goblins were found and were quickly dispatched of. They find a note in dwarvish script, speaking of the Vulture Blade.
At the farm the party quickly realise that the family has perished, and the farm has been taken over by goblins. After a pot shot by Yllaxina to kill a goblin, the party retreat back to Heim to inform Zdeko Senna.
Zdeko is a human has purple eyes and a copper breastplate, current dressed in noble clothes, very handsome, an agile build. He is in his early twenties. Renee explains what happened and asked about the note. Zdeko explains that the Vulture blade was dispersed over 50 years ago, he must have raised a new force. Goblins go in first as a scouting mission, then send in hobgoblins as the attack force. The Sojosz Confederacy are meeting tonight at a banquet and the matter will be discussed. Deco Senna said he would help with homelessness. A reward of 15GP was given to all of us. The party was invited to the banquet and was told about the dress code.
When Zdeko leaves, the party spots a thug, with some shots from Yllaxina and attempted stabs from Renee, the part apprehends the thug and find a note, which was a bounty for Zdeko Senna, signed by someone marked as AT.
The party then goes in a magic shop, containing wands, robes, communication but found it was too expensive. The party then goes to a clothing store and purchase fine clothes apart from Pip who got a sack to wear. Yllaxina, Renee and Cyrus then make a custom dress, enchanted with Magic Tinkering, which allows thread to glow. Cyrus made his cuff link smell of lavender.
The party without Stuart attends the banquet, they have to go around and get signatures of the guild representatives.
