Personal history
Born to a serving soldier, Laryn Sycamore who she was quite close to.
She went to university to study the magical arts against her mother's advice. Doing poorly she turned to rituals and warlockery, sacrificing her classmates research notes to Sight and gaining his approval. She had joined the secret society, Conquisitor Amissa Scientia, around this time and Garnon Ambition Shailius took interest in her stiving nature and desire to learn above all else.
She loves to work with others especially if she thinks she can gain or learn something from it.
When the guards rebelled a few years back her mother was in the rebelling group and died for it in order to protect her daughter. Elanys has her journal from that time that she treasures and sleeps with.
She despises Vellia Awnings and doesn't think she deserves to be in the society, both for her views against Sight and for her lack of magic prowess. She thinks the society should become mages only but keeps this from her mentor for now.
