Personal history
Marshal AKA Expanse was raised in the cult known as the Oracles of the First Mage and thus was raised with high expectations in terms of magical prowess. They were about halfway through their university studies when they broke away from the cult and were disowned by their family. Despite breaking away they still remained religious in their own way, honouring Sight but dropping the docerine of the cult.
They went straight from their degree into teaching at the same university and during that time they briefly worked with the Conquisitor Amissa Scientia and developed a strong working relationship with Garnon Ambition Shailius who they would still consider an ally to this day.
A few years into their position as a professor the cult found them again. At first they were concerned that they wanted rid of them for leaving but it turns out that they wanted them back. They had been chosen as an Oracle. Their beliefs had been confirmed by this and they returned happily feeling guilty and ashamed of ever doubting the Oracles.
They are working hard in their position as Oracle of Evocation in order to redeem themselves despite their difficult situation within the city. They are staying with their close friend Zatham Soundmaker and practically relying on him for everything since they are under close watch and no one will give them much time anytmore with their distinct magical nature and purely magical skills.
