Fracture province

Micro settlements and pieces of land owned by the remaining displaced countries post Great Migration. Ideally, the world's remaining governments determined a micro province through diplomatic means. In these provinces, displaced individuals of certain countries were granted sovereignty within the borders of the harboring nation, allowing for some level of autonomy and self-governance in exchange for shared resources and often military alliance. Being that the great migration saw the most displaced souls from major cities and the population of superpowers, early on, many of these micro provinces were instead forcefully grabbed by military forces that followed early migrants seeking asylum in smaller and less powerful countries. in this case; these fracture provinces were instead parasitic counties that not only managed their own governments but also had complete control and access to the resources produced.
Fracture province as they are called, as these places form islands that border the remaining original cities on earth as Mega shanty or lands within or just outside hostle Ark/Roots with people flying the flags of their original homelands.
